| Three Wishes (8a) | This thing is better than I thought it would be. Great movement, just a little bit dirty and slick. Came specifically for this route with intentions to send, but didn’t have much hope as the last time I came to Kings Bluff I had to leave a draw on a 5.11. Warmed up on Ritz Bitz which felt hard and I was climbing clunky. Didn’t have high expectations for the day after that. Brushed up this route on the way back down and saw a possible line I could take but there were still lots of questions. Seibert laid down some beta but had forgotten most of it. Made good progress on the flash but fell in the midst of what I would call the crux. Worked out some micro beta that eventually allowed me to stick the big move. Fired it next go to my absolute elation. May never come back to this crag :’( where it all started. |
