Salto is easiest accessed by car. Take the highway A4 from Porto in direction of Penafiel/Vila Real and turn off at the exit-sign to Campo. Once after the toll-station turn right and at the following roundabout follow the signs to Recarei. Once in Recarei follow the signs to Senhora Do Salto. Please note that on part of the south-eastern side is a natural reserve so please keep the area clean and show respect for plants and fauna. This applies to the rest of the area as well and climbers should make an effort to take with them whatever they brought...
