The good - cool/shady in the summer, close to Lisbon, easy approach, not crowded. The bad - only a few short/hard routes, belay area not flat. Ribeira das Vinhas is a great place to beat the Lisbon heat during the summer. Enjoy the shade, send some 6's and 7's, then relax on the beautiful lawn or at the biker bar. A clip stick is recommended.

Google Parque Urbano das Penhas do Marmeleiro. It's a 25 minute drive from Lisbon and you can park at the biker bar. Walk across the lawn to the trail (left side). Follow the trail for 3-5 minutes.
