KonTiki (5c) | (Norwegian grade: 5+) Multi-pitch, 3 pitches, with Carlos A. S. Lead: 1(5c) and 3(5b). Followed: 2(5c) Some meters of cool climbing, but mostly crap. The negative outweigh the positive. 1. Pitch (5c): Ok pitch, but a lot of bad placements. 2. Pitch (5c): We climbed the most obvious crack, pretty straight up. The guide seems to want us to go further to the right? Anchor is shown in a pile of choss. So we set the anchor a bit higher up. 3. Pitch (5b): We climbed the right version because of the anchor placement. I ended up climbing straight up into the bushes. After reviewing the topo, it seems like you should traverse below it and up. This must be the "5b-climbing" or the pitch is soft graded. Then there is a few meter of good climbing, and more crap bushing to the top. |
