| Les rivières pourpres (7b) | Splendida via di 500 metri su roccia top. Un susseguirsi di lunghezze una più bella dell'altra. 6b+, 6c, 7a+, 7b, 6b+, 7a+, 7a, 7b, 7a+, 7b, 7b+, 5a, 6b, 5a, 5a. I piedi sono un po' gommati, ma è il prezzo da pagare per una giornata sulla via penso più ripetuta di questo incredibile paradiso. Purtroppo niente libera integrale, ma poco importa. Respinto da L8 e L11. |

| Les rivières pourpres (7b) | Approach: After passing the boulder (Pitch 1 canyon apache) walk upstream ~30m then scramble UP ~50m verticle on the right bank to reach a high ledge. 'RP' is etched into the rock on either side of the starting holds. Despite being labled as trad on 'thecrag', this line is fully bolted. Descent: The rappell to get off the back side is 35m (fine with single 70m rope) and takes 2 minutes to reach following cairns from the summit. After that, follow cairns mostly traversing for ~20 minutes to reach the main descent gully. The climbing is world class 5 star for 11 pitches. P3, 8, and 11 were my favorites. Onsighted up to the last bolt of p8 before gassing out. Bea absolutely slayed this route! P13 (6b) is 55m, not 30. The best strategy for sending imo is to bring a skinny tag line to haul pitches 1-11. Shade all day. Enjoy! |
