🚶🏻‍♂️⏱ 40' / 2 km - ⏱ N/NE - ⇡ 1650 mt - Purely summer crag (even during the hottest days it is likely to have to wear at least a sweatshirt when not climbing), thanks to its exposure to the North and the altitude of about 1700 meters, inserted in a beautiful natural landscape that deserves to be visited also by who does not climb. The imposing face of Monte Pleros is in typical gray limestone, characterized by holes, notches and slopers, with inclination from vertical to overhanging, but there are also sections of slab and grip. The result is complete climbing, where good strength and endurance are required, but also confidence in the feet. The difficulties of the pitches are medium-high but recently easier itineraries have also been aided starting from 6a. Some routes have lengths of up to 40 meters, so an 80m rope is recommended. 🚗 - From the A 23 highway, exit at Carnia and take the SS52 for Tolmezzo first and then towards Villa Santina. Continue on the SR355 towards Sappada until you reach Rigolato. At the center of the village, after a short narrow passage, take the fork on the left that leads to Ludaria and continue uphill for a few kilometers until you reach Piani di Vas where it is possible to park near a large meadow. 🚶🏻‍♂️⏱ 65' - After leaving the car, continue first along the white road and then along the path that leads to the Chiampizulon Refuge (approximately 25'). From the refuge, take the path that starts uphill to your left towards Monte Tuglia and follow it until it begins to descend. After a few hundred meters downhill, at a boulder with an indication for the cliff, take a track on the left that leads to the foot of the imposing wall (about ⏱ 40 'from the refuge). When the refuge is open( fron june to september) you can reach it by car (white road) if you buy something like drink or meal at.
