	Marc Bourdon Marc Bourdon West Ridge Variation (5b) Co-pilot	West Ridge Variation (5b) Co-pilot	A great day out on Co-pilot and highly adventurous, but hard to recommend due to the loose debris that blocks the initial transition onto the polished slabs and the lack of good-quality anchors. We did it in five pitches instead of three as other parties have done, but it may have been because there was no snow left in the basin. This route is not in any of the guidebooks I have. The West Ridge seems to be the full traverse toward the summit of Co-pilot, but this route climbs the north face into the middle of the ridge.	20 Aug 2023
