This is where the "sector" Nasenwand is located. Maybe this could be assumed as kind of the heart of the Wachau, when it comes to climbing. Nasenwand is a great climbingspot from autumn to spring. It's located next to Dรผrnstein.
Access
Nasenwand:
After parking cross the railway (at km 122) and walk into the small valley (Kummerstal). After 5 minutes of walking turn right and follow the beaten track uphill to the crag for around 15-20 minutes. Park at Dรผrnstein Parkplatz P4 or at km 122 on the Danube-Bundesstrasse 3 (three houses after the tunnel in Dรผrnstein coming from Krems) Parkplatz Kummerstal. There is a parking fee for all parking lots around the city of Dรผrnstein which is 6 euros per day (parkometer only accepts coins).
