| East Face, center (6C) | Crouch start on obvious horizontal rail in the center of the face and go straight up on tiny holds and techy feet. The higher you go the thinner it gets until one can throw to the juggy top. Felt about V5, maybe on the easy side? Certainly harder fort short folks. |

| Promised Land (8A) | Wow didn’t know Zion was this popular! Started the day off cruxing to find parking for 30 mins. Then thought it would be a good idea to scope the boulder without pads—it’s farther than I thought + tons of tourists around. Anyways, ended up doing it without them. As for the grade, it’s probably like v11.7 ish, don’t think I could commit to a 12 no pads and 1 sesh it in warm conditions. Thanks Eric for cleaning it up + great landing!! Def worth checking out if ur in the area! |

Top 10(?) in Utah? 1 day to find, 1 to clean and build the landing, 4 more to figure it out (2 with bad beta) and build the confidence. can't imagine a much better desert setting for a boulder (except the tourist proximity). scary full value problem. 1 slightly sandy hold that I think will clean up. one of my proudest. might just be 11, can't tell these days. maybe all my 8a+ FAs this season will get the dg, wouldn't that be fun. |
