| Regulus (8A) | Total of 5 sessions on this one throughout the years of living in New England… three of them more recently. Spent the first three trying with Kai’s tension beta to get the pocket but I never felt like I could ever imagine releasing into the toe hook, felt miles away. Also couldn’t do that kneebar release toe hook catch wizardry. Had to craft my own beta over the course of the last two sessions. Pretty hilarious that this was originally called v10. Not great conditions today so not sure I can comment on the grade, and it may just expose some weaknesses of mine 🤷🏻♂️ Difficulty aside, this thing is sick and should see more ascents! So much climbing in the same space. Unfortunately, you probably have to be about 6 feet tall to stand a chance. |

| This is a really cool climb, and should definitely get more repeats! Really cool and unique rock shapes make for a fun time and puzzle! Short approach, easy to find, and great proximity to other crags.
I found a scrunchy early mantle, cutting out 2 of the harder moves. Probably only goes if you are short and flexy. Low end 9 for me, easier than tweaky bird. | ||||||

| The Dimmest Glimmer Low (8A) | Two or 3 tries today. I was a doubter at first but ended up liking the drop-in move a lot. If you're looking to flash an 8A, this is a good contender. |

| The Dimmest Glimmer (7C+) | First double dig after becoming a working stiff. Kinda like the love child of Vent de Mai and Sneaky Bird. Mantle felt quite hard until I figured out the foot cut/heel hook to side pull approach. |

| The Dimmest Glimmer Low (8A) | Not sure “low” is the right word but definitely a fun and somewhat logical extension! pulling on that first hollow rail was a bit scary for a big guy like me but fortunately I only had to commit to it once 😂. Happy to get out while at home for the holidays. Maybe someday my splits will heal, although we’ll have to see😂. Props Doug for the vision and congrats to Sam for the team smash! |
