| The Black Sun Rises (7C+) | First double digit in one sesh (stand)! Felt hard for me since I don't like heel hooks but still psyched! Felt like hugging a refrigerator but the left side of the refrigerator is against a wall that someone punched and filled a hole into. |

| The Black Sun Rises (7C+) | Stand start. No clue how I sent this thing. Massive cut and swing on the crux move, but managed to flail my way up this awesome boulder. It was below freezing when we got there, but the start pocket was bone dry for once. Amazing project. |

| The Black Sun Rises (8A) | From the low...Night sesh with Mark Pod for the takedown was incredible. 2 worthwhile sessions on it. So effing psyched!!! Really have no idea about the grade, as everything clicked perfectly for the send but I believe Alex...and agree that this is one of DC's best hard boulders. |
