In 2013 Mina had a successful World Cup bouldering season, narrowly missing out on finals and finishing 9th in the overall rankings. After training hard for the 2014 season she fell out of love for competitions; missing being outside with friends and pushing herself in this environment she decided to focus her efforts back to climbing on rock. She has climbed over 50 8A or harder boulders with one of her proudest moments being the first female ascent of Careless Torque in the Peak District. On a rope she has climbed up to 8c with plans to push this further over the next few years. Earlier this summer she achieved another goal by climbing The Pursuit of Happiness (8B) at Topside on the Cape Peninsula.

Alex Khazanov continues his productive days in Rocklands by doing three 8A+' flash; Black Shadow, Benji Carwash and Brain Rapist. The latter he although gave a 8A personal grade. In total, the Israeli has during the last three weeks added 21 boulders 8A+ and harder and he is now #9 in the ranking game.

A while ago I set myself the challenge to flash 8b. A few times I've been painfully close, but always managed to drop the ball when success seemed all but inevitable. While I still haven't flashed an 8b, I did flash this 8b+ instead... Thanks @alexandermegos and @dave_graham_ for the cheerleading and beta.
