Likewise, it is an homage to the first climbers Edmund Hillary and Tensing Norgay who have already chosen this route in 1953. A customized backpack with altogether six cameras facilitates the perfect omnidirectional view. Via mouse click and in pin-sharp quality the virtual climber experiences the challenging climbing passages: He conquers par example the crevasses of the Khumbu Icefall, climbs the Hillary Step, a twelve meters high and steep cliff edge, which represents the final obstacle before he reaches the summit. The reward is the view from highest point on earth – the choice of the different perspective is always up to the viewer. The recordings are also provided via app.

Cathy Wagner has done her 16th 8a+ of the last year, Mr Power in Verdon. In total, the 50-year-old has done 125 routes of this difficulty, including 11 routes graded 8b. When it comes to 8a's, the French lady has done 421 of them and she is still progressing doing more every year!

Julia Chanourdie, #11 in the last year's Lead World Cup, reports on Facebook, "Last saturday I toped my first 8c+ "L'Avaro" in Tetto di Sarre in Italy. It's a first female ascent. Video coming soon!" Tetto di Sarre is probably one of the most chipped crags in the world and in fact it is located in a quarry.

Excellent routesetting and a brilliant show where seven female topped out all four Boulders. There were also two male to achieve it, Sean McColl and Jongwon Chon.

The semi live streaming starts at 13 but it will take place without Jan Hojer, Rustam Gelmanov, Jakob Schubert and some other higher-ranked climbers, as Verhoeven and Hori. Among the female, there are no big sensations.

Great show took place in Innsbruck, where we could see Shauna Coxsey winning her fourth World Cup in 2016, meanwhile the overall winner from last year, Jongwon Chon, got his first victory. Giving credit to the route setters, it should be mentioned that all 36 problems throughout the event were topped out. The Swedish national coach, Reino Horak, says that he has never been on a better organized and more exciting climbing competition where the DJ created the perfect background. - When Chongwon matched on the micro hold where other could not even hold with it one hand, the audience got crazy :) With just two events left, Shauna will become the overall champion if she makes it to the podium in one of them even if Miho Nonaka wins the last two. A record number of 191 participants from 34 countries will compete in Innsbruck for the fifth Bouldering World Cup 2016. This can be compared with 151 two years ago. Live streaming will start on Saturday at 13.00 with the semifinal and 20.00 for the final.
