Scorecard o Log-Book sin puntos (o ambos)
El ranking de 8a.nu es simplemente un juego a la vez que tambiรฉn puede resultar un divertido motivador. 8a.nu lleva desde sus comienzos en el aรฑo 2000 advirtiendo de que la gente no se lo tomase muy en serio puesto que "Points may kill the fun in climbing" (los puntos pueden matar la diversiรณn en la escalada).
Ademรกs de ser un miembro con scorecard participando en el juego de los puntos, tambiรฉn se puede optar por el log-book -en el que apuntas tus realizaciones pero no entras en el ranking-.
Se puede cambiar a una u otra opciรณn cuando a uno le venga en gana. Puedes pasar de ser anรณnimo a tener un log-book o a participar del juego de los puntos -incluso si sรณlo quieres hacerlo durante un minuto para ver quรฉ puntuaciรณn tendrรญas y dรณnde estarรญas en el ranking y luego retornar a tu primera opciรณn-.
