First 8A+ by Maria Davies Sandbu

"Had probably 15 sessions over the last 3 years. I learned to stay patient and try hard no matter the conditions.. I had some epics with the conditions/weather on this one, probably half of the sessions were in the rain and Martin had to dry/prep the holds while I was climbing :) one session we even tied up a tarpaulin over the boulder to try and keep it dry... eventually all the work payed off though!"

Maria Davies Sandbu has done her first 8A, Odins bue in Harbak. The 18-year-old has previously done three 8a+. She was #11 in the Imst Euro Youth Cup in 2010.

Maria Davies Sandbu has done the big roof Lynx, 8A at Vingsand. Last summer Nalle Hukkataival travelled to the beautiful area in the coastline outside Trondheim and did seven 8A and harder.

Ondra flashes 3*8C in two weeks
