FBA by Barefoot Andrada
Only a short while ago Dave McLeod claimed the first solo ascent of an 8c, Darwin Dixit in Margalef Spain. Five days ago Dani Andrada made what is believed to be the FBA (First Barefoot Ascent) of that same route. Dani conciders it the perfect route for an ascent in such a fashion due to its physical and relatively low nature.
Chris Sharma has been known to climb hard problems barefoot, and now Dani has joined the club. Will this be a new trend? How many extra points does it deserve ;-)

Another 9a in Santa Linya
Dani Andrada had another 30 minutes performance in the upside-down-land in Santa Linya where he added a 20 meters extension to Open your mind (20 metres) resulting in a new 9a. As Tomas Mrazek and Erik Lopez checked in at the car park where already magnus Midtbo stays there will most probably be morโฆ

More FA by Dani Andrada
Dani Andrada has added three 8c+ and one 9a in Santa Linya to his log-book during the last month. In total, he has done 11 routes 8c+ and harder in Santa Linya in 2008, out of which 9 are First Ascents. Dani has probably at least three times as many 9a FA's as any other climber.

We can see in Dani Andrada's blog that yesterday, Chris Sharma became the first ascensionist of Las cuatro estaciones, 8B+ traverse in la cueva de Juncosa. Dani ticked it as well right after his friend and comments the graduation in his scorecard: "more or less like an 8c+/9a or 8c+ or 8b+/8c tarverโฆ

Ondra flashes 3*8C in two weeks
