Christof Rauch has done 100+ 8A and harder last year

Christof Rauch has done more than 100 boulders 8A to 8B+ during the last 12 months, which possibly makes him #1 in the world. This goes in line with the trend not to just project the hardest ones but instead focus on multiplying quality lines. Noteworthy is also that the 21-year-old has done all his five 8B+'s in 2015, so we are talking about extreme progress in last year. Picture from Anam Cara 8B+ that he has not yet done. - I would say that my secret is my nearly endless motivation and that I'm not afraid about driving far for some new boulders. ;-) I work full time as an engine building technician in a water plant. After my work I go climbing outside or train in a little gym once or twice a week. Almost every weekend I go climbing outdoors. I don't do more than two days in a row because I have some troubles with tendonitis in my fingers. At the moment my focus is on bouldering but i really like route climbing as well. For me its not so easy to be good at both disciplines at the same time because I lose maximum power really quick when I do route climbing. I'm really looking forward to the colder conditions to finish some of my projects in Switzerland.
