Bendler & Rainer won first Ice WC
Markus Bendler from Austria has won the first Ice World Cup event in Kirov, Russia. Not only were the skills of the competitors questioned but also their capabilities to cope with cold weather, minus 30 degrees to be exact. Markus was second in overall rankings of 2007 and 2008. In 2009, he won all three events. Angelika Rainer won among the female. Complete results
Among the succsessful sport climbers, Chloe Graftiaux was #5. Next weekend the WC will take place in Val Daone and there will be a Youth Championship in Saas Fee.

Chloรฉ Graftiaux who was #4 in the last Boulder World Cup last weekend, and fourth overall, has done Putain putain, 8b(+) in Gorges du tarn. Chloรฉ does it all including trad and big wall and ice competitions.

Ondra flashes 3*8C in two weeks
