Alizée Dufraisse interview

Alizée Dufraisse won the Youth World Champion in 2003. Frustrated with the climbing scene, she changed her focus to pole vaulting in 2004 and in 2008 she was the French Champion with 4.35 just missing the Olympic games. Her love for climbing however brought her back to the sport and in the last lead World Cup she positioned #3. This year's Arco Rock Masters went well for her as she took the first place in boulder! She is currently #3 in the 8a female ranking. Talking with her it became clear that, although she enters competitions and competes fiercely for good positions, climbing is a very emotional pursuit for her and she gave great insight to the feelings she attaches to climbing>
