8b and 8a+ by Cathy Wagner (53)
Cathy Wagner, who did her first 8a in 1994, has done her 8a+ #155, Da Lineking in Rodellar. "Sooo happy! Fell at the last move on my first go 2 weeks ago totally pumped and today, despite the wobbly warm-up, I felt steady. IMO, the right knee-bar in the middle of the 3rd part of Maskoking makes the route easier, so I'd say a soft 8a+."
The 53 year old teacher did her first 8b in 2001 and yesterday she did her 17. Interesting is that she has never started off a year as good as in 2019! If Cathy would have taken part in the ranking game, she would have been #2 in the Age & Gender ranking game, after Adam Ondra.

Cathy Wagner has done A quoi tu rรชves?, 8a+ in Le Maquis. In total the 44-year-old has done 79 routes of 8a+ or harder.

8a #30 in 2013 for Cathy Wagner (48)
Cathy Wagner has done two 8a's in Gorges du Loup and in total she has now done 30 including three 8a+ in 2013. Normally she does around 20 8a's a year but it seems the 48 year old goes for her most productive year since 2003. In total, she has done more than 400 8a's out of which just a dozen in Spaโฆ

Cathy Wagner has during the last three weeks done six 8a's and during the last year she has done 40 8a's and six 8a+'. This means that she by far is in her best shape ever, not bad for somebody being 48 years old and who did her first 8a being 30.

Ondra flashes 3*8C in two weeks
