10 year old close on 8B! - Climbing is unique :)

Jason Kehl reports on Facebook with this picture of Ashima Shiraishi, "First day in Hueco, so close on Crown!" Crown of Aragorn was set up in 1996 by Fred Nicole and is a five meter traverse into a 7C. It is actually one of the few from that time that have never been subject of down grading. Ashima has done several 8A's and harder before and has won the USA Nationals the last three years. Only a handful female has done 8B and if Ashima does it, it should qualify for a story in Sport Illustrated showing that climbing is unique when it comes to age and gender.
