The city of Kamianets-Podilskyi is one of the most popular tourist centers in Ukraine. Over the centuries, the city has undergone many destructions and reconstructions, thanks to which it has acquired a unique architectural eclecticism, which, however, is an example of a single historical whole. The old town is located on the rocks, in a place where the Smotrych makes a large loop. It is surrounded by walls with loopholes, defensive towers, and bastions. The main entrance, which includes the City Gate and the Castle Bridge, is protected by the Old Fortress, which was supplemented by a bastion system in the 17th century. The National Historical and Architectural Reserve "Kamenets-Podilskyi" is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The crags of Kamianets-Podilskyi are one of the largest, most diverse, and most interesting in Ukraine. The city has two districts: Smotrych Canyon and Strimka Lan. Smotrych Canyon is situated in the heart of the old city center, on the banks of the Smotrych River. Here, you will find both the easiest routes for your first climbing experience and very challenging routes for professionals. Strimka Lan is a relatively new area(since 2022) located near the Chernivtsi bridge, situated on the outskirts of the city, in the direction of Khotyn.
