Be aware that even at famous crags (like Hochkogel) and on well-known routes (like Impoposant), there are still many bolts that are over 30 years old (likely from the late 1980s or early 1990s). These use plastic dowels and are now really dangerous—the plastic dowels can break like a dry leaf over time.
