Finger recruitment training

Part 1 of 3: Finger power training - Recruitment

Training/Jens: Recruitment training means to increase the percentage of the muscle fibers in use. This is what happens when you get stronger by the number of attempts on a crux move or at the campus board. For some it takes 45 minutes to get fully loaded meanwhile others are fully recruited directly after the warming up.

The most extreme way for recruiting the fibers in your muscles is to do downward moves at a campus board and this is how Wolfgang Güllich prepared himself for Action Directe.

Recruitment training is also perfect for optimizing the crimping angle of your grip or even adjusting different finger angels. Beginners should start by standing on the feet while doing moves on a campus board in order to avoid injuries. Stop the training or take longer rest as soon as you are stagnating.
