Swollen toe knuckles

I'm sure lots of climbers see their toe knuckles swelling up across the years of wearing tight climbing shoes. But I was always wondering how we can limit/reduce/get rid of that. Any ideas? My left foot is slightly bigger than my right one and therefore it gets tighter and now I feel like my little toe is more swollen than it used to be :( I'd like to reduce it, and keep climbing meanwhile, so that the shoe doesn't feel as tight on that side.
You can block the shoes. http://www.nettpris.eu/skoblokker-storrelse-43-45.html Or try a different model/brand.
use bigger shoes for training and warmup..
Only keep your shoes on when actually climbing. Use larger shoes for easier climbs and when you are longer on the wall. Does the job for me. But toe pain can be a problem, but usually only after wearing tight shoes for to long time, so keep that to a minimum. And never, never belay in climbing shoes.
