Access by the road of "Alto da Boa Vista" that connects the neighborhood of "Tijuca" to the neighborhood of "Barra da Tijuca". The National Park is well known by everybody in the City, so it's just ask how to get there and easily will have no problem to get. Transportation can be by bus line: 233, 234 or 225. This bus line circulating through the neighborhoods of "Tijuca" and "Barra da Tijuca", but the best is go by car, because within the Park you must walk approximately 2 miles (3km). Inside the Park you must ask about "Gruta dos Morcegos" ("Cave of the Bats") for the rangers who stay at the Park entrance. You may also ask for a ride for visitor who are driving, usually people are receptive and it's easy to get a ride, at least to approach. There are some littles waterfalls around the crag, so it's good to keep fresh between redpoints attempts on hot days. If you go by car, pay attention to the work schedule of the Park because there are restrictions. Case remains raining heavily for several days, there is a risk of landsliders in the region because it's hilly region. Summer is good bring mosquito repellent and extra water. Some people drinks water from the region, but isn't advisable.
