Contra productive progress!  (6)

Training/Jens: Quick progress is fastest achieved through a structured training programme. In general, if you focus on systematic endurance sessions, stretching and diet you will improve over a 6-week programme. However, most of the best climbers in the world, and this is unique compared to other sports, instead focus on having fun, climbing as much as possible.

Of course, it might be fun for some people to follow one programme. But for many, that might kill the motivation in the long run. It might also increase their anxiety.

The problem, as I see it, is that almost all trainers say you should follow their programme. Of course, otherwise they lose their job. My philosophy is to just act like a kindergarten coach :-)
