The chipping era is over!?

EDITORIAL

Monday, 21 January

During the 90-ties, chipping was very common, especially in France and Italy. Thousands of potential hard core routes were destroyed and made into the comfort zone. In some parts in especially northern Italy and around Gorges du Loup some guys continued destroying the rock also in the beginning of the 00-ties. 8a and some members like Adam Ondra has taken a stand towards chipping for many years and luckily it seems that this era is almost over. Instead the new trend is that climbers try to re-climb chipped routes by just using the natural holds. If you know any area where chipping still exists please make a comment so we can make it official.
