Personal grading is getting popular

Discussion/Jens: Some years ago, the climbing community used the topo grades as fixed grades. Similar to how communist countries set fix prices on the market. When the fixed grade (price) was wrong, sometimes you saw a great interest (demand) for the climb (and the supply was endless). Dave Graham and Adam Ondra helped changed this, probably more than anyone else. Adam started giving his own personal grades when he was 15 years old. Today personal gradings are getting more and more popular. 8a believes the community will continue to use personal grades, pushing the fixed communist grades to be seen only in the old topos.
