Boulder flash slaughter by Brad Weaver

During the last week Brad Weaver has flashed Tequila Sunrise, 8A+ plus four other 7C+ and harder boulders in Hueco Tanks. Pretty amazing since his personal redpoint best was 8A+ -- until yesterday when he did Crown of Aragorn, 8B. Before 2009 Brad mainly climbed routes, where he has done four 8c+'s. He says, "I've dedicated a year to bouldering now. Working my weaknesses, power boulder problems on pinches. I've been primarily trying to climb on those types of problems and it seems to be working out nicely. "I try to climb open hand as much as possible and it feels like it helps a lot. I have one more year of school to complete next year, but I would love to visit Colorado and Hueco again. Maybe Font and Switzerland after I graduate from college???" Blogspot
