Red River Gorge climber hit by a truck and in need of help.

Local Red River Gorge climber, Sunny Yang, was tragically hit by a truck while running on Wednesday evening July 15. He was flown by helicopter in critical condition to University of Kentucky Hospital. Our heart goes out to him and his loving family. Sunny and his wife Jing Li with there two young children (6 month and two year old) are frequent smiling faces at the crag and around the Red River Gorge, and it saddens the entire community to hear of such a tragic accident. Sunny is a strong unstoppable force with such a positive impact on everyone he meets. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sunny for a good recovery. Sunny has a spinal surgery this week and then the family is moving him to Cleveland, Ohio to a spinal rehabilitation facility for a very long and difficult recovery. After being initially paralyzed Sunny is now able to slightly move his legs. Sunny's family is all in China so the climbing community is their support network.
