arm pain

Hi Dr, I have dull aching pain on the side of both upper arms (left arm is the worst). My earliest recollection of this pain was 19 years ago when i was 20,at this time i was weight training with the most aggravating exercise being pull ups. I stopped weight training and the pain dissappeared.15 years later i started climbing and the pain came back, brought on by fridge hugging moves or footless mantleshelving.  The pain does reduce when i stop climbing.  The pain at worst seems to start at the rear deltoid and run down the brachialis to the fore arm, the middle side of the arm is the most affected area. Is this radial nerve damage and what treatment may be in order? I am awaiting an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. Has anyone had a similar experience/ Cheers Olly.
