| Bad Girls Club (8c+) | Kind of a saga. I entered this cave in 2014 and remember thinking this line looked like the sickest line in rifle. Fast forward to about 2021 when I first tried the route. I can't say I really got serious until this year but gawdamn has it been an epic. Every go on this thing leaves you fully spent and somehow it went down second go of the day. I almost sent about a month ago when we had a freakishly good conditions day. Today was still hot, and the summer somehow generally continues for the wicked cave. Had to ultimately wait till 6 pm for the send. Who ever stole my send beer out of the creek has some bad juju coming for them. Nuff said. Psyched. |

| The Crew (8c+) | the crew… this is for everyone I’ve ever climbed with. You’re the one that keeps the fire stoked along the way. Bless. I’m sorry for my transgressions but it really is you that keeps me going. Alas, I digress, peepin’ season was in full effect, and a few key bumps from kraysean set the vibe for a rarity in American sport-climbing within an hour (hint: 3 athletes punted on the last moves of 8c+/9a). While I couldn’t be upset with my own personal punt given the absolutely perfect Cutwater-infused splash-day the crew had, I wasn’t satisfied. The thirst remained strong and I needed this. We worked hard for this. We turned this god-forsaken place into a homestead, full of witchery and grand designs. We’ve brought career-focused individuals and positive imagery to a dreadful & remote canyon, for better or for worse. Lord knows the last time someone burnt some fkin’ sage in this canyon. I burnt sage last night though, thinkin’ of all the crew… ggwp rifle |
