1st go but I had already done like 99% of the route via the link. Excellent score card padder for the rendez spew 🤫. Also good route!
Sick one! Close OS, then second go completely botched the sequence and ended up falling lower than the first go. Finally that time of the year when climbing in the sun during the warm-up is a good idea.
Couple of cool sequences. You can yard through the top crux, or use some 3d trickery
very nice climbing, tricky low moves (did a L-knee bar) which helped in the corner feature
👻🍿
Took about 12 whips to figure out how the heck to get into the dihedral, but came together pretty fast. Cool, underrated, minimal polish. Taking 12d guidebook grade 'cause it feels fitting. And 'cause I'm not a hero.
Tried this route years and years ago and couldn't do the big move. First attempt this time, I never stuck that big move but figured out all the climbing around it. On my second attempt, I was on point and thought I'd fall so didn't rest long and for the FIRST time ever, I stuck the move!! I was so surprised and pumped that I then fell trying to get my foot up. Stuck the move again for the one hang and then did the whole beast my 3rd try. What a way to go. Super cool, did the "big kid" beta haha. High R-foot backstep, L-foot smear with foot flat on wall
Last go of the trip, literally 30 minutes before we had to be driving to the airport. Was sure I'd blown it with a foot slip on the previous attempt, rested 30 minutes and fired it. Been thinking of this climb since trying the moves in 2019, and dedicated most of this short 5-day trip to it. First 8a outside the Red.
equal parts fun as it is confusing
nauseatingly good
My stem-o-rama training really paid off, and I am 100% confident I could send this again before Stem. Very nice route, pleasantly surprised and wasn't scared. 3g.
nice one
One of my absolute favorites in Rifle, especially if you want a big adventure:)
