| La Novena Puerta (8c+) | A personal mini epic. This route ended up being all about one move - to the right hand mono. In the last 2 years I’ve tried this move on maybe 5 separate occasions but could never do it. This year Uri inspired me to try again and I finally did it. Understanding how to do it consistently was a different story and I fell in this move for 6 or 8 sessions. Glad to finish it. Regarding the grade, I really don’t understand. Without this move it would be a lot easier but that’s like saying without legs I’d be lighter. |

| Catxasa (9a+) | Such a brutal climb, I’m proud I’ve done it! I’ve tried the route two years ago and almost did it without kneepads. This time I decided that I do it with kneepads since everyone is doing it that way and the grade should stand for what is the easiest way to climb it. My opinion on the grade is that it definitely makes it a bit easier with kneepads but it makes no sense for this route to be only 9a since you’re doing a hard 8c+ into another solid 8c+. The upper 8c+(Fabela) has been done with kneepads for the last 10 years and the grade still stands. I’ve done most of the routes in the cave and my opinion is to either downgrade everything or leave it as it is. |
