Plastic Jesus (7b) | My anti style but glad I finally tried this thing at the beginning of the day instead of the end. Felt like 12b when I sent but I was convinced it was much harder up to that point. |

Huey P Newton (7b+) | 12a? Really? I found the roof encounter very challenging for my long frame and there were several baffling cruxes above. I'll stick my neck and out suggest 12c to balance the scales somewhat. With old fixed ropes hanging everywhere, this narrow canyon feels abandoned. It's a cool environment, but the upper section of the approach is simply heinous. |

Wishing to Cry (7a+) | I found this Chasm route on Sendage and it was graded 11c... Whoa! It's short, bouldery and cryptic with few positive holds. The climbing is okay, but nothing to write home about and I thought it was a complete sandbag. Have fun! |

Down Easy (6c) | I found a record of this Chasm route on Sendage and it was graded 10c! I actually thought I was on the wrong route due to the barrage of cruxes. It was very dusty, a bit runout and kinda' chossy, all of which gave the long pitch an "alpine" feel. This did not feel like mid-5.10 to me and I'd not recommend it to anyone but an experienced leader. 5.11b is my personal grade. |

Navigating the Cosmos (7c+) | This is an awesome route full of interesting moves, sneaky rests and wild holds. Conditions were poor for a redpoint, but the generally positive holds allowed me to battle to the top on my third try. This one is not over until you clip the chains. Horne Lake at its finest. |

Star Gazer (7b) | My "warm-up" for the day didn't work out very well. I got flash pumped wrestling in the steep corner's overlaps. Athletic, fun climbing with a bit of tricky hold finding in the upper section. |

The Baobab Tree (7c) | This short-ish route involves pretty straightforward climbing to a bouldery crux, a less difficult middle and a pumpy finish. It took me a fair amount of time to find a sequence on the lower boulder that worked, however the wet tufa didn't help. Made a Hail Mary attempt late in the evening and got it done... What an amazing cave! |
