| Big Left (7B+) | I gonna indulge myself here and bump this 7/8 to 8. Not because its V8, oh goodness no, simply because doing so is bringing me joy. This was my favorite climb in Hueco, and in order to save time I committed myself to flashing. If only we didn't have that confusion about "why are we even at the feather" Woo may have had enough time to rest properly to dispatch (the feather). That being said, I had mentally rehearsed the moves to this thing many many times: all 22 of em! I was so ready you would have thought I'd been born at this boulder. Perfect pockets and jugs lead to crux 1, then you set up on a gaston and high heel and find yourself in the red point crux! Derek tells me 5 more inches for like 20 inches before I snag the jug. Totally exhausted I managed to mantle and stand on top of this massive block. Jump downclimb boys. |
