Soft for the grade
spent all night throwing up and spraying out mi arse
First outdoor climbing in months. First boulder in England. First time on grit. Those razor thin crimps were a rude intro to all three. Loved it though.
These 8a grades on stanage boulders are whack! Or maybe I just have no paradigm for grading grit. I thought this was harder than every 5-6 I tried. Would've loved to spend more time on this boulder - many cool lines.
Favorite boulder in the 5 hours I spent at Stanage. Soft and flashable if you're used to southeastern US sandstone. I get the grade though - it was physical.
Loved this thing even though it left me with no ankle skin. Bottom went surprisingly quick and top out proved surprisingly puntable.
