| Straight Up (7A) | I have tried this boulder every trip to Alicedale since my very first time bouldering outside. Shut down everytime. I could never get the feet to stick on the small foot holds. After sending my first classic 7A (Dungeons and Dragons), I tried this on the way out. Launching for the crimp, I hit it badly. Almost giving up, I realised that had actually done the move, and, my feet had stuck. Topping out felt so good. Big lesson in not being a sissy boy and just holding on. It is a cool line, but I am happy to never try it again. |
