Scorcard warning

"The 8a ranking is ridiculous..." in the sense that there is no way of controlling what is true and not, especially for first ascents. But we just provide the means not the input: the community has to supply this. part of the whole idea with 8a, is to circulate a debate on ratings, which means that we want repeaters of first ascents to comment on ratings. This will, in time, lead to a more accurate grading philosophy. In the same way, the scorecard is temporary and constantly changing. Therefore the 8a scorecard is just an amusing means to compare to some extent, the performance of outdoor climbers. As for now, 8a tries to balance the scales, hopefully satiesfying all but the very strict and very relaxed."
