8a yearbook Photo Guidelines

Contributor's guidelines - 8a Yearbook 2008

 If everything goes according to our plan we will print 25 000 copies this year in 80 pages. In the coming yearbook we will increase the number of gallery pages, have larger photos in general, and most likely have a photo on the cover page. So let’s get down to business… We need photos, good ones, the best ones…

 Besides thrilling photos for the cover page, inside cover and the gallery, we need photos to the following sections in the book:

-          8a ranking

-          World Cup comps and the European Championship

-          Best boulder problems and areas in the world (see below for more info)

-          Best routes and crags in the world (see below for more info)

-          Top 10 routes 8a–8c+. More info at http://www.8a.nu/articles/ShowArticle.aspx?ArticleId=4702

-          Top 10 boulders 8A–8C. More info at http://www.8a.nu/articles/ShowArticle.aspx?ArticleId=4691

Best crags:

Frankenjura, Rodellar, Kalymnos, Railay, Red river gorge, Céüse, Gorges du tarn, Siurana, El Chorro, Arco, Misja pec, Rifle, Rumney, Blue mountains, Red rocks

Best boulder areas:

Fontainebleau, Bishop, Hueco tanks, Kjugekull, Squamish,Magic wood, Cocalzinho, Cresciano, Joe's valley, Albarracín, Hp 40, Chironico, Little rock city, Castle hill,Gunks


 All photos submitted to 8a will be considered for publication in the 8a Yearbook 2008. 

Contributor’s guidelines:

 All submitted photos must be in high resolution files (300ppi). We reserve the right to crop the photos as necessary for best layout in the book, and also to make slight adjustments in brightness and colour. 
Every submission must include the following information about each photo:
•    Name and grade of route/boulder problem
•    Name and location of crag/boulder area
•    Name of climber
•    Name of photographer

 All submissions must also include complete postal address to the submitter.
Photos can be submitted by e-mail, FTP or on CD/DVD by postal mail.
