Great first day in Stavanger

The routes by Christian Bindhammer, Alberto Gnerro and Marcin Wszołek created a good first day in the Stavanger Lead World Cup. Jain Kim, Anak Verhoeven and Mina Markovic topped out all of the three routes and Romain Desgranges was as close as one could be to also get three tops. The final will be broadcasted tomorrow and the only bummer was that Magnus Midtbö from Norway was #9. Anak Verhoeven, see picture, said that the semifinal route was great and a bit different as it was not so steep but instead technical and also fun to climb. Adam Ondra qualified as #5 and said he thought Romain had been going to be the best as the route was a bit narrow and technical and he had to bend his arms to fit into the sequences. - Or maybe I am not in good shape. We will see tomorrow and next week when we are climbing in Flatanger. Semifinal video and Complete results
