Sharma: No major change of Three Degrees of Separation since the FA

Chris Sharma has contacted 8a wanting to share the correct information of his FA of Three Degrees of Separation that he put up in 2007 as an 9a. - When I did the FA, the lower part was around 8c or 8c+. So I really don't think any major hold broke. Also knowing the route, there aren't any friable holds that could have broken, they are all super solid holds. Two days ago, Adam Ondra made the first repeat giving it a personal 9a+ grade. Later Steve Townhend, who spent 30 days on it in 2009, explained to 8a that a broken foothold might be part of the reason for the upgrade. Dave Graham has made some comments in the forum confirming what Sharma is saying: that no major hold has broken and adds, "People need to remember history clearly, as this hersay detracts from a very inspirational, and historic FA by Chris, and an incredible repeat by Ondra!
