The curious Super Hero: Jimmy Webb

Patti Wohner (40) reports from a 10 days trip with youngsters Kasia Pietras and Jimmy Webb and clearly, Patti has got a new super hero and this she wants to share and learn from. On the picture Patti is doing Mass Hysteria 8A with Jimmy spotting and Kasia in the background. - This extreme interest in other people’s climbing was one thing I noticed about Jimmy that I have not seen in other climbers, amateur and professional alike. Is this focused interest what makes Jimmy so talented? Like all the world’s top boulderers, Jimmy is also mutant strong, has excellent technique and flexibility, is well-rounded, competitive, and possesses an extremely good mental game. But this TRUE passion for everything and everyone climbing makes Jimmy the world’s best. We can’t all be top climbers but adopting Jimmy’s attitude is something I think all climbers could benefit from. Jimmy has for some years now been the #1 in the 8A ranking game and when it comes to flashes he is actually by far the best in the world, also including often giving personal grades.
