Why does everyone climb v14 in South Africa?

It seems like every year a new load of climbers heads down to SA and the reports of epic crushing come flowing back. Last year Webb laid waste to just about everything he got on and this years crew of kids is making quick of many of the hard lines. What gives?
Have you been to Rocklands and seen the density of hard climbs around? Sure, some may be soft, but I very much doubt Ashima's Fred Nicole problem was soft :)
I wouldn't use Jimmy as proof an area's soft. . Or Ashima for that matter. Er, or Mirko..
So I had a quick look. All the climbers who have done Golden Shadow but Ashima and one other have done 8b+ outside of Rocklands. But there is talk of the new beta making it slightly easier
The possibly high number of boulders of that grade could be the reason. From the database I count 39 boulders graded 8B and 8B+. If you have that many to choose from, could it be easier to find one that suits you best and thus easier to send that grade, maybe for your first time?
I guess that already 50 % of the hardest boulders in Rocklands have been down graded. actually already like six years ago I said this would soon be the case.
