8a web site is so so crap

I have lots of issues using the web site on iPAD or surface. Way too much content on home page. Takes ages to load and button functions are last. Why, oh why can't the web designer do anything to improve this? 8a.nu is well out of touch with their user community. Comments please?
Thanks for the feedback even if the headline was a bit rough :)We are working on it and the speed will be much faster during the next week. The web design is our biggest project but it will take some time until it is ready. We are looking for more guys that could help out to speed up the process.
It's good that your listening to this Jens. I don't know the history of this site or any other climbing related stuff since I'm fairly new to the scene, but to me it seems you somehow lucked out on getting this site going and being among the top climbing related sites. It probably won't continue in this fashion unless you fix the late 90's look and speed of the home page. Make it softer and flow nicer. A friendly tip is to keep yourself out of discussions - it's more professional. News feed is fast and reliable (and this is most likely the attraction of this site), and all the functions is nice I guess if you wanna get technical and document your progress etc. Maybe incorporate the voting system that some other sites has? People post an ascent and the mean avarage (of people who repeated the line and vote on it) gets you the grade. Seems to net the most accurate description and even shows if it is somewhere between grades.
