Adam Ondra, the movie - Is it ever going to happen?

I was wondering if there were any updates regarding the movie... I still remember the fanfare of the work in progress. The one liner went from "a movie about the best climber in the world" to "a film about one of the best climbers of the present". I think the director said that they didn't want to rush the post-production, but at this point Adam got so much stronger that the old footage won't do him justice, almost...
Good question... It should have come out a year ago, right ? I fear now that Adam is sponsored by BD, and they like these "BD athlete John Doe does this and that" shorts, maybe Bernart Wood was politely advised that his services were no longer needed ? Like, remember to sign a contract next time.
"Remember to sign a contract next time" LOL :D Could be true though :(
seems like it's finished at last! http://vimeo.com/33704646 they took their time but it looks like it was worth it. Alex Hubers comments are spot-on i think. it always struck me that with Ondra it's not only about his superhuman skills but that his approach towards climbing seems so intelligent! can't wait to watch the whole thing... beta on storyof2worlds looks crazy :-)
It says December 2011. Lets see if this time is true. :) Really looking forward for it!
It would be great. Alex Huber's comments are excellent advertising indeed !
Alexander Huber about Adam Ondra from BERNARTWOOD on Vimeo .
Yes, my "complainte" has been heeded! Can't freaking wait. And well done on changing the title!
I so gonna get it..
A week ago in Antalya talked 2 Czech guys who seem to know Bernard, they say he's finally doing it right now. must appear very soon. Really waiting 4 it ))))
also nice to see how psyched Alex is for Adam and what he can achieve in the future (watch his face at the end of the interview). inspiring in it's own way.
I agree with Huber. For me, Ondra is equally impressing for taking a position when it comes to Chipping, Personal Grading, Giving credits to others, The Bone Marrow campaign and always be willing to share thoughts in interviews etc. He is a been the perfect role model for several years even if he is just 18. And we should not forget that he is also at the forefront when it comes to technical and tactical climbing.
Back to the movie, I was really hoping it could be released in time for Christmas, but it looks like it won't be :(
ADAM ONDRA - FIRST 8C BOULDERS - TEASER from BERNARTWOOD on Vimeo .
Hi Franz, and eveyody we definitely plan to release the on December 31st, hopefully all technical aspects will work right, as it seems so far... In between, new bouldering video, Adam and his first two 8Cs, is just being uploaded right now. It will take some time, but definitely today on-line. Originaly, it should had been on DVD in Extras, but yesterday I decided to edit it and give to everybody. Bye... Petr (AO  film maker)
Petr, thanks for the clarification, the 31st is not faraway and the bouldering clip was a welcome "starter". Keep up the good work!
Well - Here is more or less a tribute video to Ondra! :) A highlight video from the resent competition in Sweden "Legends Only".  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qd7e99pl1M&context=C3c78c33ADOEgsToPDskKO7e2qZNARM9PDhg0tOp5C
b*llocks. I've just seen the excerpt from the Wizard's Apprentice (http://vimeo.com/34537640) and it's in American. It feels like drowning in wa'da...
I have seen the full 120 minutes and it is just amazing. I guess it will be available within a few days. "E-x-t-r-e-m-e passion, dedication, tallent and hard work are the best way to describe both <a href=" Adam'>http://www.8a.nu/user/adam-ondra">Adam Ondra</a>and his video portrait producer Petr Pavlíèek. After having seen the 120 minutes, I am just completely blown away. Ondra started to climb when he was 4 and we get to follow him until he sends, after an extreme 14 day battle with a lot of snow and strong winds etc, Golpe Estado, 9b in Siurana. The struggle and frustration are just inhuman and it takes you to the other side where grades are just uninteresting. Having reported hundred of grades for Adam over many years, I truly enjoy and appreciate reading  Adams scorecard description of the "mental torture"</a> the Xy grade created."
I agree to Jens: The Wizard´s Apprentice is mindblowing for climbers, the passion Adam and Petr transport is amazing... Adam is so motivated, so strong, sober, nice, hungry for hard climbs, it´s inspiring. Watch the movie, if you are a climber and you´re fascinated by hard moves and the story of the worlds best allrounder! I think Core, Scene or Progression are more entertainment, but The Wizard´s Apprentice is definitivly a great climbing movie about one of the greatest climbers of all time... read more about the movie and whats in it (in german): http://www.bergleben.de/klettern/230-adam-ondra-the-movie-the-wizard-s-apprentice.html
