8b+ onsight by Jenny Lavarda

Jenny Lavarda has done an amazing onsighted Le mur des cyclopes 8b+ in St Léger. "I have heard of this beautiful route and when I saw it, I liked it very much. It is a long and intensive route with a crux under the top. The beginning is very overhanging and spectacular with colonettes and the last part with small holds. When I came to the last part of the route I began to feel a little bit nervous. I fighted a lot in the last part of the route because the hardest part was at the last quickdraw but fortunately I didn't know it. When I arrived to the top I didn't believe that I did it. I was so happy. I can't believe it!!! My perfect route...my preferite climbing style!!" Jenny has been a successful competition climber since 2001, when she was Youth World Champion. She has been Top-8 in Lead and Boulder 35 times and in 2007, she was Combined World Champion. The last week she was #3 in L’Argentière where she did her first competition 20 years ago.
