Unknown Wrist Injury!

Hi Dr 8a, I have this pain in my wrist, but its not a constant pain. The pain mostly comes from the very centre of my wrist on the posterior side, and started off as a dull ache but has recently (in the last few months) has become a bit more intense.  As I said before, it's not a constant pain - even when climbing. Most of the time it hurts whenever I put too much pressure on it in a certain direction. For example when riding a bike, manteling, palming off a hold, or when doing push ups. Sometimes it is an instant pain and sometimes it takes a while for the pain to kick in.   Do you know what is wrong? And what I need to do to make sure it doesn't get worse?  Thanks
I had this exact same issue for for quite a while. Couldn't bench, do push ups or any of the sort. I got this bulge on the back of my wrist which a lot of people whom I spoke to also had gotten from over-training. You have to lay off (palm)push ups, biking and similiar excersises that put a lot of strain on your wrists for a couple of months or it's just not gonna have time to repair itself. What helped me a lot was doing push-ups with your knuckles on the ground and other types of wrist-stabilizing excersises, but do it very moderately to begin with.
I had similar problems. Some bone in my wrist was luxated. A good chiropractor fixed it and told me to do more stretching (esp. flexors). But first I needed about 3 weeks layoff to cure the inflammation with some kind of rail. I climbed under the condition for months, until it became unbearable even in daily life. A lot of stretching definitely helped. So did warm gloves for biking during the winter.
