Hi Dr, and thanks so much for answering all my questions. Your help goes a long way! I have been suffering recent left elbow pain. Tender to palpation on the tip of the elbow and a little lateraly. It has been red and slightly swollen. It does not hurt when I climb and I only notice it when I massage the area. I have been doing stretching and wrist curls with hot/cold soaks at night. I am wondering if it is ok to climb. Should I back off for a while? Take it easy until the pain is gone? Thanks! Luke
Hi It sounds like a bursitis of the elbow. Use Voltaren gel and some elastic bandage- avoid at all costs to hit the elbow on any object. with luck you can keep on climbing and heal. If it gets more swollen and/or hot it is time to see the Doc.Climb on Björn
